Once the room is mapped, the app lets you designate virtual no-go zones and favorite sections that the robot will automatically clean. You can also alter the cleaning modes, initiate cleaning manually, or view live feeds of the cameras onboard from the main screen.

The RX2 is equipped with excellent sensors that can identify furniture and other obstructions immediately. The suction and sweeping capabilities are outstanding, effectively taking away surface debris from carpets of medium pile as well as dust that has been deposited on floors. It's not the most powerful robot available. As with many others it's not a great climber and is prone to problems with things like metal threshold transition strips.

The robot is simple to set up and use. It does not require a smartphone app or Wi-Fi pairing, however it does have an remote control that lets you choose between various modes and adjust the suction level. It also lets you manually take the robovac off on a scheduled cleaning.

In our tests, we discovered that the 11S was extremely efficient at getting pet fur and dirt from carpets and floors with low pile.
